Introduced in 1901, the powerful flavour of the Bolivar range is almost as widely know as it's namesake, Simon Bolivar (1783-1830), the celebrated Venezuelan warrior who liberated all or part of what is today Venezuela, Columbia, Peru and Bolivia. The cigar brand was developed by the Jose Rocha Company and manufactured at the El Crepusculo factory, but was later acquired by Menendez, Garcia y Cia.

Boasting a balanced mixture of medium-strong, earthy spices, this Churchill's harmonious draw maintains its robust flavors throughout the various phases, building in strength toward the finale. Hints of coffee and toasted tobacco remind the smoker that they are, indeed, smoking a Cuban cigar with all the traits of the Vuelta Abajo region. Needless to say, a beginner might find the complexity and strength of this cigar a little overwhelming.

Full flavour - 4 3/8 (110mm) - 42 ring gauge - Typical Bolivar flavour, and whilst it is not as strong as the larger ring gauge Corona Extra and Royal Corona, this is still a very fine smoke.

He who believes that all Marevas are the same lacks subtlety. There are similarities and big differences between a Montecristo No. 4, a Short Hoyo Corona by Monterrey and a Petit Corona by Bolivar. This size does not have the roughness of Montecristo nor the refinement of Hoyo de Monterrey. Being a Bolivar, it is a very personal and wonderfully balanced Habano, with no excesses. If you like this format, you will appreciate its unique quality.

An excellent Petit Corona. It's a very well made cigar, especially when it comes in Cabinet of 50. Spicy and earthy, it's simply a Bolivar.

This generous Havana must be controlled. Smoke it very slowly by taking small regular puffs. This is a rustic Havana. It delivers an earthy spicy smoke.
